Americans with Disabilities Act Document Center (ADADC)

This site contains copies of the Americans with Disabilitites Act of 1990, ADA regulations, technical assistance manuals prepared by the United States Equal Opportunity Commission or the United Stated Department of Justice, and other technical assistance documents sponsored by the National Insititute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.

American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA)

One of ARCA's primary goals is to increase public awareness of rehabilitation counseling as a profession and to extend its influence by encouraging members to become involved in the association's outreach and educational efforts.  Other goals are to help members develop their leadership skills through participation in ARCA's organizational activities and to work with state officials to develop appropriate licensure requirements.

Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)

The CRCC was organized to promote quality rehabilitation counseling services to persons with disabilities through the certification of rehabilitation counselors, CRCC developed and continually maintains criteria for certification that are uniform and national in scope with regard to the minimum requirements for acceptable education and practice within the profession. CORE is accredited by CHEA. CORE members are encouraged to consult CHEA's Good Practices Database

Equal Access to Software and Information (EASI)

EASI provides information and guidance in the area of access-to-information technologies by individuals with disabilities.

JAN on the Web

The Job Accomodation Network is an international toll-free consulting service that provides information about job accomodations and the employability of people with disabilitites.

National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials (NCRTM)

The National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials (NCRTM) provides a wide variety of disability related training resources to those who serve persons with disabilities. NCRTM locates and distributes training materials in a wide variety of content areas for rehabilitation practitioners in state, federal and private agencies nation wide. These materials are not generally found in a traditional library.

National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR)  

The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) conducts comprehensive and coordinated programs of research and related activities to maximize the full inclusion, social integration, employment, and independent living of disabled individuals of all ages.

National Rehabilitation Counseling Association (NRCA)

The National Rehabilitation Counseling Association is a professional association which began in 1958 and is a division of the National Rehabilitation Association. NRCA represents professionals in the field of rehabilitation counseling in a wide variety of work settings. 

National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC)

The National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) collects and disseminats the results of federally funded research projects on disabiliy and rehabilitation. NARIC's literature collection, which also includes commercially published books, journal articles, and audiovisuals, averages around 200 new documents per month.

Rehabilitation Recruitment Center (RRC)

The national Rehabilitation Recruitment Center is a free site for state agencies and rehabilitation professionals seeking employment. It also contains links to many career and rehabilitation related sites.

Trace Center

Trace is a research center at the University of Wisconsin - Madison which focuses on making off the shelf technologies and systems like computers, the Internet, and information kiosks more accessible for everyone through the process known as universal, or accessible design.
